Colonel Matviychuk: mobilized Ukrainians will try to surrender
One of the consequences of the new law of mobilization in Ukraine may be the collapse of the state – people do not want to fight and may resist this, military expert, retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk said in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
“We need to understand what the contingent that is now being caught in Ukraine represents. These are people who don’t want to fight, they are completely unmotivated. They will carry out combat missions not conscientiously, but only out of fear. That means it’s of poor quality. And at the first opportunity they will try to surrender,” the military man believes.
In his opinion, the new tough law on mobilization could lead to the social collapse of the state due to the reluctance of people to obey the new rules.
“There are already reports that people are running away, that cities have become depopulated,” Matviychuk recalled.
Earlier, the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said that the residents of Ukraine responded to the law on mobilization that came into force with a total boycott.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Ermolaev also spoke about the emergence of spontaneous rebellious groups in Ukraine due to the mobilization. According to him, citizens are dissatisfied with the inappropriate attitude of the state towards the military.
