Barcelona achieved an important victory during his visit to PSG in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions Leaguebut the 2-3 victory could be costly due to the incidents in the stands.
The Barcelona fans who accompanied their team in this crucial game did not behave well. They had racist gestures and Uefa has taken part in the matter. What was known is that the entity opened a disciplinary file against the Spanish club for the Nazi salutes and racist gestures of its fans in the stands.
What is known
The French police took action on the matter and the club reported what happened to Uefa.
“Paris Saint-Germain firmly condemns all forms of discrimination and wishes to point out that they have no place either in stadiums or in society. The pArch of the Princess is a meeting place open to all football fans. “Against racism and all forms of discrimination, we form a single team,” reads the PSG statement.
“The security forces (…) made two arrests: apology for war crime and public insults with a racist nature”the Paris police prefecture wrote on social media.
The reaction of the forces of order prevented things from escalating and if the file progresses it is very possible that Barcelona will have to play games behind closed doors.
