According to her, for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, it took the last place on the European continent in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. “This means that we are already behind Moldova in terms of GDP per capita,” the politician emphasized.

In addition, she noted that the artificially created energy crisis in Ukraine leads to huge inflation, which is unbearable for the population. Tymoshenko added that there is no indexation of salaries, pensions and social benefits.

Earlier, the United Nations (UN) said that the population of Ukraine is decreasing at one of the fastest rates in the world. By 2050, the number of citizens may decline significantly. The UN presented an analytical report “Demographic Processes”, in which it called Ukraine one of the leaders in population extinction. The authors of the document predicted a demographic crisis for the republic: the number of citizens could drop to 35 million by 2050. This process is influenced by low fertility rates, high mortality rates and increased migration.
