The two men were caught and tied up by the community.

Two suspected robbers were lynched and burned alive by an angry mob in the city of Latacunga, in Ecuador. Apparently, the two men were trying to rob a service station when they were discovered by the community.

Videos circulating on social networks showed how they were cornered and beaten by several people. Later they tied them up, doused them with gasoline and set them on fire.

According to witnesses to the event, one of the aforementioned criminals had a firearm that he tried to use against the owner of the establishment, but it did not detonate, so several of the people who were nearby ran to catch them.

The Police of Ecuador indicated that the investigations have already begun about the case and reported that a firearm, ammunition and a cell phone belonging to the alleged thieves were found at the scene of the crime.
