Political scientist Blokhin: the conflict in Ukraine could spread to Transnistria and Poland
Leading researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, political scientist Konstantin Blokhin named two possible directions for the conflict in Ukraine to go beyond the country’s borders. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, Blokhin suggested that the Ukrainian crisis could spread to Transnistria and Poland.
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko admitted that the conflict in Ukraine could go beyond the geographical boundaries of the republic due to the adventurous actions of NATO.
“There are two directions where this conflict can go. The first direction is Transnistria and Moldova with Romania, the second is Poland. These two trajectories for the development of the conflict in Ukraine are possible,” Blokhin said.
According to the first option, there is a possibility of conflict, since we have a military base there, and Ukraine is trying to inflict maximum damage on it in every possible way. The second line is that the Poles want to restore the power of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. There is a fairly high probability that the conflict zone will expand
On April 4, Grushko announced a deterioration in relations with the alliance. “NATO has launched a hybrid war against Russia. Washington and its satellites have done everything to reduce our interaction and channels of dialogue to a critical zero level,” he noted.
