Today, Sunday, and within just hours, two earthquakes struck the Republic of Ingushetia, located in southern Russia.
The regional administration of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies stated, in a statement, that at 09:29 Moscow time, an earthquake struck the territory of the “Sunzhensky” region in the Russian Republic of Ingushetia, according to what was reported by the Russian “RIA Novosti” news agency.
The statement said that the earthquake was at a depth of 12 kilometers and had an intensity of 2.6 on the Richter scale.
The statement added that at 14:04 Moscow time, a second earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale struck the Sonzhensky area and was at a depth of 9 kilometers.
The statement confirmed that no damage or injuries were recorded, and there were no deaths or material losses, and that all services in the republic are operating normally.
