They were skidding down the road at 4:45 a.m. when they were hit by a vehicle
Two brothers were run over by a car in the early hours of this Sunday while they were skating along the Alcantarilla highway, at the height of Puebla de Soto, within the municipality of Murcia.
The Emergency Coordination Center received a call, at 4:45 a.m., reporting that three young people who were traveling on roller skates had been hit by a vehicle on the Alcantarilla road, at the intersection of access to the Murcian district of Puebla de Soto. The call alerted that two of the boys needed health care and that one of them was lying on the ground.
Members of the Murcia Local Police and two 061 ambulances traveled to the scene of the event. One of the brothers had a head injury, so he had to be taken to the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital. The second wounded brother was treated ‘in situ’ by SUAP health personnel and did not require transfer to the hospital.
