Two arrested for robbery with force in a company in Lorca

Agents of the Local Police of Lorca arrested two people in the early hours of this Monday as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with force in an electrical equipment company in the Santa Quiteria neighborhood through the burglary procedure.

The Councilor for Security, Juan Miguel Bayonas, explained that the owner of a nearby bar informed the authorities of the presence of four young people in the vicinity of the business, who in the previous days had “caused problems” and “raised fears” in the area. neighborhood for “a possible robbery attempt.”

According to Bayonas, the quick intervention of the agents allowed them to intercept two of the suspects, one of them hiding behind a vehicle.

A citizen reported to the police that he had seen two young men carrying a cash register and that upon realizing their presence, they threw it into a nearby lot before fleeing.

When the agents arrived at the premises, they found that the premises’ blinds were partially raised and blocked by a flower pot. The owner of the establishment confirmed after a first evaluation of the premises that the cash register had been stolen.

One of the young people arrested admitted his participation in the robbery and his statement was corroborated by the images captured by the establishment’s security cameras.
