According to what emerged from the initial reconstructions carried out by law enforcement officers, Bertolini initially collided with a vehicle that threw him from his vehicle, causing him to fall heavily onto the asphalt. Then, immediately after, the man was also hit by a heavy vehicle that was passing at that very moment.

The alarm was raised shortly before 5.30 pm yesterday afternoon. A medical car and two ambulances with red code sent by the operations centre of theRegional Emergency and Urgency Agency. Marco Bertolini’s conditions immediately appeared very serious to the rescuers who immediately began resuscitation maneuvers to counteract the ongoing cardiocirculatory arrest. Urgently transferred to the hospital in Vimercate, the man he passed away shortly after being admitted to hospital for the multiple injuries sustained following the accident.
The driver of the truck was unharmed: the man, 48 years old, was also transferred to the hospital in Vimercate for the necessary checks. The dynamics of the accident are now being examined by the local police who will have to carry out all the usual checks in order to ascertain any responsibilities.
