The entity's Security Spokesperson reported that a report of fire was received in a house located on Puerta de Hierro street, in the Puerta Grande neighborhood.

He added that “unfortunately, the death of four minorsapproximately between 2 and 12 years, due to poisoning”.

Apparently the neighbors realized that smoke was coming out of one of the houses and heard screams of terror from the children, and they immediately began to force the entrances, and even broke a wall, because they knew that children were locked there. Other neighbors immediately called the emergency services.

As soon as possible, they looked inside for the little siblings (the oldest was a girl with Down syndrome), and took them out to the street. That's when firefighters, paramedics and Civil Protection elements arrived.

While firefighters put out the flames, paramedics tried to revive the children, unfortunately none of them could survive.

Neighbors commented that the dad of children is trailer driver and was on a work trip through Coahuila, while the mother left home (apparently to work), leaving the children alone. They asked that the facts be investigated.

They also said that it was not the first time that something like this happened in that house, since before there was a similar emergency, as the house had terrible electrical wiring, but before that they were able to put out the sparks quickly. This time there was no luck.

When the mother arrived at the site of the tragedy, was detained by elements of the state Public Ministry.

The bodies of the children were taken to the amphitheater of the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for the legal autopsy.
