In a meeting with residents of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office at the Tlatelolco convention center, Santiago Taboadacandidate for Head of Government for the “Va X La CDMX” coalition, reaffirmed his commitment to improving the quality of life in the city, focusing mainly on security.
During his speech, Taboada highlighted his “Taboada 5” plan, where the first priority is security.
He promised to implement measures to end the floor charge for merchants and shield Cuauhtémoc and all of Mexico City to guarantee the tranquility of the inhabitants.
Another of the topics addressed by Santiago Taboada was the problem of water in the city. He criticized the previous administration and promised to solve the problem of water supply and quality.
Likewise, he pointed out Morena’s lack of compliance in the construction of popular housing, committing to address the need for decent housing in Cuauhtémoc.
Regarding gender equality, Taboada announced the implementation of a “Chilango Pink Salary” to economically recognize the work of women, both in the workplace and in home care.
He highlighted the double work that women do and affirmed that his government will value and adequately reward these tasks.
With these proposals, Santiago Taboada seeks to obtain the support of citizens to achieve significant change in the city, based on security, well-being and equal opportunities for all inhabitants.
Third Chilango Debate
On Sunday, May 12, the Third Chilango Debate organized by the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) will take place between the candidates for the Head of Government of the country’s capital.
This meeting, which will feature the participation of Santiago Taboada Cortina, Clara Marina Brugada Molina and Salomón Chertorivski Woldenberg, will include a new element: the formulation of questions by girls, boys and adolescents.
As agreed by the Provisional Monitoring Commission for the Organization and Holding of Debates, the debate will follow a clear and structured outline:
Candidates will make a two-minute initial message.
Two children will ask questions on the topics of “Security and Justice” and “Urban real estate development planning”, respectively.
Each candidate will have one minute to answer the questions posed by the children.
Candidates will address assigned topics with an opening message, followed by a time slot to present their arguments and a conclusion.
Finally, each candidate will make a two-minute final message.
