Liguria, Toti: “I can’t know how all the people in the area move in my name”
Giovanni Toti does not give up the governor’s seat, the president of Liguria rejects all the accusations against him. The former Mediaset player wants to answer the questions of the preliminary investigation judge Paola Faggioni during the preliminary interrogation, scheduled for tomorrow. She wants to do it to then file a petition on personal liberty. And then possibly an appeal to the Review Court. It would be the first step to regain political viability. “I – says Toti to Il Corriere della Sera – am calm about my actions but I cannot know how all the people who move in my name in the area behave. I did not take bribes, I did not pursue any private interest. If there are There have been misunderstandings, I will clarify them. Everything I did was to improve Liguria.” And he reiterates: “I didn’t take bribes, I governed.” Meanwhile, from the interceptions the picture regarding Aldo Spinelli, the former president of Livorno football, is better outlined.
A project emerges from the entrepreneur with Luigi Aponte’s MSC (not under investigation) to divide up the areas of the Bulk Terminal at the port of Genoa. Spinelli – reports Il Fatto Quotidiano – is at 55%, Aponte at 45%. The idea is to dismantle it by merging the western side with the areas formerly owned by Spinelli and the east with those of MSC. However, the project costs 190 million euros. The two hope for the intervention of the Pnrr. And they talk – we read in the investigation papers and reported by Il Fatto – of a meeting with Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Development at the time. “He is ready to do it (the project, ed.) on his own”, says Spinelli who then hopes with Signorini “the important thing is that it goes into the Pnrr”. And when Signorini proves sceptical, he replies: “We also made him a bank transfer to them, then we’ll give them another one, don’t worry.” In fact, in the end 30 thousand euros will arrive in the Carroccio between May and August.
