Tornado blew up and moved a house in the USA thirty feet.

New Orleans, Louisiana, was affected last Tuesday, March 22, by a tornado that caused havoc around the city. The strength with which the tornado reached that area was, according to the National Weather Service, winds of up to 300 kilometers per hour.

One of the most affected places was the house of Dea Castellanos, who went through the air 9 meters and fell to the ground in pieces.

Castellanos says he felt the rain and the wind while he was on the sofa in his living room and, seconds later, the house was spinning in the air.

They were screaming. The woman was hysterical

In addition to Castellanos, his daughter lived in the house, a minor who needs to be connected to a respirator. Although Castellanos and her husband were able to get out of the rubble on their own, they needed help from their neighbors to get her daughter out.

Chuck Heirsh, a neighbor of the family who called the 911 emergency line, told ‘The Times – Picayune/New Orleans’ newspaper: “They were screaming. The woman was hysterical. They were traumatized after taking that trip like in ‘The Wizard of Oz’”.

However, while the corresponding authorities arrived, many of their neighbors went to help the family. This is what her neighbor Nerissa Ledet told the newspaper ‘The Times’: “All the men in the neighborhood ran to the house. I hugged mom. I tried to comfort her“, he commented.

Among the most affected places is Texas, with 16 counties declared by the governor as a disaster area.

According to what was reported by Guy McInnis, president of the parish of San Bernardo, the girl was taken directly to the hospital and is doing well. However, the one-story house was reduced to rubble.

Due to the number of areas that sustained significant structural damage and the number of people whose homes were affected, On Wednesday, March 23, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards declared a state of emergency in the districts of St. Bernard, New Orleans, Jefferson and St. Tammany.
