In its recent financial documents, Embracer Group also reported something about the results of Tomb Raider I-III Remasteredwhich seem to be decidedly positive, with sales above expectations for collection.
Embracer Group’s net sales increased by 12% for the entire fiscal year, while in the last quarter they decreased by 5%, but in general the indices are positive regarding all parameters relating to the entire fiscal year .
In all this, it seems that Tomb Raider I-III Remastered was a success: No precise sales figures are provided at the moment, but these are rated “above expectations”.
More Tomb Raider remasters on the way?
This is excellent news also from a future perspective, considering that a similar operation, given the results obtained, could also be replicated for subsequent chapters of the Tomb Raider series, i.e. chapters 4, 5 and 6, which could be followed by the next trilogy.
Obviously these are only suppositions, but it is possible that, given an excellent public response to Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, Embracer could give the green light to a Tomb Raider IV-VI Remasteredalso considering that the operation should not have cost a fortune.
Of course, these are non-iconic chapters like the first trilogy, but for many it could be interesting to recover the subsequent titles in remastered form, also because they are probably less widespread in general and could therefore generate even greater curiosity.
We are talking, in particular, about Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, which could be revived in this form and which would not be a problem at all, as well as the subsequent Tomb Raider: Legend, Anniversary and Underworld.
