It took a little while, but Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition it came up PCin a certain sense: this version is in fact available on Microsoft Storealthough it is not yet listed on Steam, where the 2013 Tomb Raider is still in its original version.
In truth, the issue comes from the extent of service compatibility Play Anywhere to Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, which basically unifies the Xbox version with the PC version on the Microsoft Store, effectively bringing this version to Windows too.
The update seems to have arrived in recent days, strangely, which is why we can talk about a sort of “shadow drop” of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on PC, even if the matter is a little more convoluted.
The strange issue of the PC version
Furthermore, the story is rather particular: with the launch of the game on PS4 and Xbox One, after the original version released on PS3 and Xbox 360, a upgrades technician of a certain magnitude, who transformed the game into Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.
Strangely, this version never arrived on PC, on which however the original was already presented in a decidedly more advanced version than the original one, which made the need for a technical upgrade less pressing.
The differences, visible in the video comparison published above, are in fact less evident on PC compared to those that characterized the original version on console compared to the Definitive Edition, and the changes made face of Lara Croft in the subsequent version they continue to be an element of discussion, given that for many they were worsening changes, compared to the greater particularity and expressiveness of the original model.
