The fourth edition of the A1 Pádel Santander Sevilla Master, which is sponsored by ABC of Seville, already knows the composition of the couples that will fight this Sunday (starting at 12:00 p.m. in the pavilion Saint Paul) for a title with defined nationality (the four finalists are Argentine), but of uncertain ownership as the couples facing the event in the Seville capital with the status of seeds one and two faced each other.
Fulfilling the forecasts, although with uncertainty, the Argentine duo composed of Leonel ‘Tolito’ Aguirre and Gonza Alfonso (number one seeds) have reached their place in the final after beating the team composed of the Paraguayan this Saturday at the San Pablo Sports Palace Martin Abud and the Argentine Adrian Allemandi in two sets. Uncertainty because the match was stopped at 0-3 for Abub and Allemandi due to some physical problems for Gonza Alfonso that even put the continuity of the contest in doubt. However, once recovered, together with his teammate he was able to turn the match around to finish the first set 6-3.
In the second, everything seemed settled with 3-1 (after an 8-0 partial) on the scoreboard for Gonza and Tolito… but their opponents managed to put a 3-4 on the scoreboard that brought them closer to third. However, Gonza and Tolito followed the manual to level a set that seemed lost (5-5) and that they would end up winning to certify their presence in the final after the devastating 7-5.
Previously, the Argentine duo formed by Maximiliano Arce and Franco Dal Bianco (number two favorites) had also certified their presence in the final on October 20 after defeating their compatriots Ramiro Pereyra and Juan Ignacio de Pascual in three sets (6-2, 4-6 and 2-6). After a great game that made those present vibrate and the predictions of those in the know before the fight were also fulfilled. Arce and Dal Bianco were the winners last year of a competition that will be in its fourth edition in 2024. (the first to be played in the San Pablo pavilion). Tolito and Gonzo, for their part, already have seven titles this season.
