Since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out around the world, many important events have been canceled to ensure safety and prevent the spread of the dangerous virus, while others have fortunately managed to take place in a “virtual” version, that is totally online and with direct streaming. But now that the situation seems to be slowly stabilizing, thanks also to the vaccination campaign, someone is trying to return to normal by reopening to the public, as in the case of Tokyo Game Show.
After a few digital editions, the organization of the Japanese event dedicated to the news of the videogame sector has announced that, barring further unforeseen eventsthis 2022 will see the return of the event in physical format, i.e. with the presence of the public.
The Tokyo Game Show 2022 it will therefore be held from 15 to the September 18th at Makuhari Messe Of Chiba, Japan. The days 15 And 16 will be intended for the business part, while the opening to spectators is set for 17 And 18.
With the onset of the pandemic, the TGS it switched to digital-only in 2020 and to a hybrid digital-physical version in 2021, where in that case only the business part was allowed to participate, while the general public had to act as a virtual spectator.
The theme of the 2022 edition, which marks the return in attendance, will be “Nothing can stop gaming”, Explaining that although events have been forced to change or momentarily disappear from our lives, video games have remained, and will continue to brighten our days now and forever.
