Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh is coming to Nintendo Switch, here’s the release date and special editions

Tintinimaginatio and Microids have finally announced the release date of the version Nintendo Switch Of Tintin Reporter – Pharaoh’s cigarsa video game based on the historic comic and animated series, developed by the Spanish studio Pendulo Studios: it will arrive on the Nintendo console on October 17, 2024, with special editions.

The game also receives several new features: an unreleased sequence with Tintin on horseback, an exclusive gallery of characters and the new Tintinologist mode, designed for the most curious and passionate fans.

In this mode, you can gain additional information and insights into the series and the construction of the video game directly during Tintin’s journey, allowing you to discover a series of anecdotes about Hergé’s world. These improvements will also be available for free via an update on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The special editions

As for special editions, a physical Limited Edition and a rich Collector’s Edition are planned for Nintendo Switch, both in physical format.

Inspired by one of the “Adventures of Tintin” created by Hergé, which has sold over 275 million copies worldwide, the video game marks the return of the famous reporter in video game form, thanks to a co-production between Tintinimaginatio and Microids.

In the game Tintin Reporter – Cigars of the Pharaoh, the protagonist and his faithful companion Snowy embark on a long journey full of adventures. After meeting Doctor Cyclone during a cruise in the Mediterranean Sea, the famous reporter sets out in search of the tomb of the Pharaoh Kih-Oskh.
