The entrance of spring brings the time change to the clocks of Spain. This change in the schedule is a joy for many as it translates into the arrival of milder temperatures and more hours of sunshine to enjoy outdoor activities. Thus, a schedule where it gets dark earlier is left behind.

The winter months are over and with it the cold goes. Good weather takes over March to open spring. The days are getting longer and you feel like making more plans on the street or in natural spaces. Summer time becomes the perfect excuse to be more active, since many would like to maintain this time throughout the year. With more hours of daylight, it seems that there is more time for leisure, and the evenings outside are lengthened to the satisfaction of many.

Specifically, the time change in Spain occurs on the last Sunday of the month of March 2022, on the 27th. At 02:00 it will be 03:00 and Spanish households will have to set their clocks to advance the hands of the clock one hour . A change that is made automatically in electronic devices, that is, mobile phones, computers, tablets, etc. While devices that do not have a digital system will have to be changed manually, such as wall clocks.

Although this change is well received, it means sleeping one hour less on Saturday night. An aspect that must be taken into account for the day after, since you will rest less and it will be noticeable in your performance.

In Spain, two time changes are made throughout the year. Both signify the change of season: to autumn in October, and now to spring in March. However, the debate of maintaining the same schedule during the 12 months of the year has always been on the street. Thus, the final resolution on removing these time changes will be decided in Europe, since the definitive elimination of biannual time changes in the EU member countries was extended until 2021. At the moment, it is not known if March will be the last time the time is changed.
