Pueblo Nuevo, Durango.- Three men burned to death and at least two wounded by gunshots is the unofficial balance of a confrontation between organized crime groups in the Las Negras region of the municipality of Pueblo Nuevo, Durango, near the borders with the state of Sinaloa.
It was during the early hours of Wednesday, June 12, that authorities received several reports of violent events in the Las Negras community, reported the Durango prosecutor, Sonia Yadira de la Garza Fragoso.
Given this, an operation was implemented with elements of the Mexican Army, National Guard and State Public Security From durango.
It was this Thursday that it was announced that The bodies of three lifeless and charred young people were foundwho were unofficially identified as Ismael “C”, Uriel “M” and Carlos “M”, aged 26, 21 and 19, respectively.
Likewise, it was indicated that at least two people were injured by gunshot and managed to escape the confrontation, which allegedly began when people were herding cattle in an area and an armed group, supposedly coming from Rosario, Sinaloaarrived and started shooting at them.
Authorities from the Durango Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into this incident.
