Three people dead and two others injured left the shooting this Sunday afternoon, around 6 pm, in the Greenwood shopping center, in Indiana, United States, ‘CNN’ reported.
Authorities also noted that the gunman, whose identity is still unclear, died at the scene after a 22-year-old man shot him with a legal weapon he was carrying.
The victims would be a man and four women, including a 12-year-old girl He suffered minor injuries and is in the hospital. The second victim is also reportedly in stable condition after receiving medical care, Greenwood Police Department Chief Jim Ison said.

Ison told the outlet that the Greenwood Police Department had been training to react to a mass shooting and had conducted “multiple exercises at the mall” in preparation.
“But I will tell you that the real hero of the day is the citizen who legally carried a firearm in the food court and was able to stop this shooter almost as soon as he started shooting.Ison commented.
