When one thinks of a university exam room it is inevitable that one considers a large space with hundreds of tables and seats. But there is one that challenges all preconceived ideas.
It is the largest classroom in Spain, which is located in the Escuela de Caminos de la Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM)and that has gone viral on the internet.
“I have come to see it full, with exams of subjects that had between 800 and 900 registered“says a former Caminos student, who explains that he always chose to sit at the back: “In the end, you were always about three minutes ahead.”
Although the size of the classroom may lead one to think that it was easy to copy, everything had been thought out: “There were always vseveral teachers watching”says the former student.
But if the classroom has gone viral, it has been partly thanks to the comments: “If you miss a class, you can listen to it again in the background the next day,” says one. “Are those in the back considered a ‘distance course’?”asks another. “I’m deep down listening to the agenda from two weeks ago,” another comment exaggerates.
“If you sit at the back and they take you to the board, they assign you an electric scooter,” jokes another. “I don’t even make chops, I just grab the book right away,” adds one. “Those in the background are going through the 2003/2004 course”suggests another joker. “Whoever supervises the exam that day no longer needs to do cardio,” adds one more.
