A group of armed men arrived at the gym owned by the mixed martial arts fighter nicknamed “Pimpon” and shot him several times, leaving him wounded. This man has several complaints for beating journalists and critics of the current government from Movimiento Ciudadano.
According to the version of the agents of the Prosecutor’s Office, one of the men took out a firearm and fired it several times, managing to slightly injure him in one elbow and another in one shoulder, neither of the two impacts were considered serious.
“Pimpon” left the scene when he was helped by another person using a private vehicle and the attackers also left the scene immediately.
Although the complaint does not name any person as responsible for the assault, what is known about it is that there is a relationship between both parties.
There is no official information on this incident, as prosecutors went to the scene, but no evidence was found to be collected there.
The first responders were municipal officers, who picked up the shells and left the scene.
This mixed arts fighter identified as Arturo L. has several complaints against him for beating detractors of the municipal government in turn in charge of Movimiento Ciudadano and critical journalists since the administration of Alfredo Lozoya, including one of them a broadcaster named Fernando L. He died months later due to the beating received by this subject, a situation that was never addressed by the state government at that time in charge of Javier Corral.
Last June, during an operation by state agents, they tried unsuccessfully to arrest him as he hid in his mother’s house.
