Upon arriving at the scene, the criminals tried to hold the victims and later tried to extort Carlos Bacca.
The general Wharlinton GualdronRegional Commander Number 8 of the police, gave details of what happened.
“Our Gaula group received a call for an alleged case of extortion against a renowned Atlantic soccer player. The victim received several calls in which they made financial demands, in exchange for the release of two relatives, who were supposedly kidnapped.” said General Gualdrón.
“The Gaula's technical and human capabilities were immediately activated, which made it possible to establish that it was a case of extortion in the form of false service. These two people had been deceived into carrying out an alleged cargo transportation service and “They were sent to a geographic location where their cell phone signal was poor, which prevented them from having contact with their family,” he added.
The elite Gaula commandos, with the support of the municipal police patrols, managed to locate these two people in the Río Frío district, in the Magdalena banana area, El Reposo sector. “They are found unharmed and in good health,” the general said.
