The couple, in a black car, left the child on the sidewalk, but a security guard intervened, forcing them to pick up the minor. Shortly after, they tried again, this time at a roundabout, where they were caught in video by neighbors.

The Ceará Public Security Secretariat reported that security forces have identified the suspects. Teams from the Civil Police and the Military Police went to the scene after being alerted about the events. Investigations are being carried out by the Trairi Metropolitan Police Station.

The Trairi Guardianship Council is also investigating the case. A council professional visited the home of the child and confirmed that it is in good condition. The minor will be referred to a protection agency to guarantee his safety.
