In a joint operation between the state police and the National Migration Institute (INM), the rescue of 38 people of foreign origin who were in a situation of deprivation of liberty in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico.
The operation was triggered after receiving an alert from the state Command Center, mobilizing members of the Secretariat of Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM) to Prolongación Hidalgo Avenue, in the 21 de Marzo neighborhood.
There, in coordination with INM personnel, they located 27 men and 11 women of various nationalitiesbetween them Ecuadorians, Nepalese, Hindus, Guatemalans and Hondurans.
The rapid and effective response not only involved state and federal authorities, but also included the presence of the National Guard, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM), the Municipal Police and medical care teams from Civil protection.
This last group provided assistance to people in conflict with their legal stay in the country, treating minor cuts and providing hydration to those who needed it.
Weapons and vehicles seized
During the inspection of the site, a Beretta brand, 22 millimeter caliber, square-type firearm was found, along with a replica rifle. In addition, two vehicles and two motorcycles were seized that were presumably related to criminal activity.
