Guanajuato.- The Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office reported the capture of two suspects of participating in the brutal murder of a family in León, which occurred on June 9, 2024.
In this attack, four women and two minors were murdered inside their home on Pénjamo Street.
That act shocked the local community and attracted national attention.
The announcement of the capture was made through social networks by the Prosecutor’s Office, which declared that it had identified and arrested the probable perpetrators of the multiple homicide.
The crime… and suspicion
On the aforementioned day, two armed individuals broke into a home and immediately opened fire on the six people present, according to witnesses.
Neighbors stated that elements of the National Guard inspected that site shortly before the massacre occurred; That has raised doubts and generated criticism.
The victims were buried on June 12. Among them were little ones Leandro Yael, 2 years old, and Regina, just 3 months old.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador revealed that five National Guard agents were detained after security cameras captured them near the scene shortly before the massacre.
The governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhué Rodríguez Vallejo, has also been on the lookout, and spoke about the presence of the National Guard and other relevant details of the case.
Authorities searched a home in the Vista Hermosa neighborhood, where the gold vehicle with tinted windows supposedly used by the murderers was found.
