They manifest around a thousand people in the town of Santiaguito in Amatitán for the feminicide of an elderly woman 70 years old, identified as Rocelia.
The demonstration was organized by teachers and students from the Jalisco State High School College (COBAEJ), with the aim of demanding justice for the feminicide of which Rocelia was a victim.
The march culminated in the community kiosk and the participants pointed out that they were cruelly deprived of life.
“Rocelia was a very noble and calm person, helpful to her family and the community. It is an atrocious injustice that was committed against her. She was run over in the most cruel way, not even animals are subjected to that, It is everyone’s responsibility that justice be done“, declared Lupita Landeros, Rocelia’s niece for El Occidental.
He added that the Forensic Medical Service informed them that she only had head trauma but at the time her body was found she was beaten and was sexually assaulted.
Rocelia attended the Santa Cruz festivities in the main square of Santiaguito on May 3 and returned walking home but One block away she was attacked.
