They attack the Morena candidate with bullets to the municipal presidency of Encarnación de DíazGilberto ‘Tito’ Palomarthis afternoon, Tuesday, May 28.

The Jalisco Security Coordinator, Ricardo Sánchez Berumen confirmed the armed attack against the candidate, who was injured along with two other people.

“With preliminary information, we can confirm that the The attack occurred inside a home while they were making preparations for their campaign.”, the coordinator elaborated.

Sánchez Berumen added that the three people are already being treated and work is being done on their stabilization.

Police media indicate that the attack took place in the campaign house located in the El Rosario neighborhood, inside were the candidate, his brother and private secretary.

‘Tito’ Palomar seeks re-election as mayor of Encarnación de Díaz, municipality popularly known as ‘La Chona’.

A few hours ago the candidate was in Lagos de Moreno and hours later he would have his campaign closing in the main square of ‘La Chona‘ along with the candidates for local deputy Hugo René and the contender for federal deputy of district 2, Fernando Torres.
