Ciudad Obregon, Sonora.- Javier Corralexpanist and former governor of Chihuahuawas the subject of strong accusations during the forum Challenges in the Fight against Corruption.
Corral was questioned this Tuesday for a man of the public who identified themselves as Christopher James Baroussedetails the newspaper El Universal.
During his speech at the forum, Corral said he had great appreciation and gratitude for the President Andrés Manuel López Obradorand that he even personally invited him to be part of his government.
“I know what you did in Chihuahua, and no governor in Mexico has done it. Of course López Obrador knew what we had done and how we had done it,” commented Corral, when at that point, Cristopher James Barousse stood up and began to say things to him in a loud voice.
“I don't believe you, Javier. I don't believe you. You know perfectly well that that is not true. “You persecuted me, you locked me up, you tortured me and I was acquitted!” Barousse snapped at Corral.
“And when I found out, working here, in the state of Sonora, that you were coming, I said: I think it is a good opportunity to come and tell you, to your face, that everything you are saying, unfortunately, they did not apply it. Don't lie to the population,” Barousse stressed.
“You are saying that you recovered money, but do you know how much money you recovered in criminal material? Zero pesos. You won not one trial, not one trial, not one of those that put us in jail,” he added.
“I'm not afraid of you. I'm not going to allow you to continue lying, I'm not going to allow you to continue torturing. You tortured me!” Barousse accused.
The man who confronted Corral like this was taken out of the forum, amid shouts of “out, out, out!” from the others present.
