Two months before the third edition of Rock Imperium, the organization of the festival, which will be held from June 19 to 22 in El Batel park in Cartagena, has made public the schedules of all the concerts, so that those interested can go planning your roadmap. Early risers will be able to come to the venue one day before the start of the event to collect their bracelets, from 5 to 9 p.m., in order to avoid the expected queues on Wednesday.
The event on June 19 will feature Judas Priest as the main course. The legendary British band will offer a complete 100-minute concert, from 10:00 p.m. to 11:40 p.m., with all the stage production from their own tours, as will In Extremo, who will close the night with their Germanic folk metal, from 11:50 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Two other notable names are Uriah Heep and Extreme, who will play from 6:35 p.m. to 8:05 p.m. and from 8:10 p.m. to 9:40 p.m., respectively.
The concerts on the first day will be held consecutively on the two main twin stages, so that the programming will occur without interruptions. On Thursday, June 20, a third stage will be added, located on the UPCT esplanade, which will be connected to the rest of the venue by a walkway and will offer a reduced format closer to the concert halls. There you can see the virtuoso Australian guitarist Plini, the demolishers Marduk and the surviving veterans of the 'New Wave of British Heavy Metal' Praying Mantis.
Among the featured concerts on Thursday on the main stages will be the first and last performance in Spain by Cirith Ungol, from 4:10 p.m. to 5:05 p.m.; Richie Kotzen's 'bluesrocker' class, from 6:10 p.m. to 7:10 p.m.; a Glenn Hughes 'show' dedicated to his time in Deep Purple, from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.; a full two-hour concert by Avantasia, from 10:10 p.m. to 12:10 a.m.; and the closing of the day by Kamelot, from 0.30 to 2 hours.
On Friday, June 21, Nestor's eighties hard rock will be its main attraction, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.; the unclassifiable experimental metal of Igorrr, from 6:20 p.m. to 7:25 p.m.; the festive power metal of Beast in Black, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.; and the classic heavy metal of Accept and Saxon, from 8:55 p.m. to 10:25 p.m. and from 10:40 p.m. to 12:25 a.m., respectively. Fans of the most extreme sounds can't miss Napalm Death, who will perform from 10:55 p.m. to midnight on the third stage, or Emperor, who will say goodbye to the day, from 12:40 a.m. to 2 a.m., with their legendary Nordic black metal.
The program for Saturday, June 22, highlights the elegant progressive rock of Riverside, which will perform from 7:20 p.m. to 8:35 p.m.; the return of Warlock by Doro Pesch, from 8:40 p.m. to 10:10 p.m.; an exhibition by six-string magician Yngwie Malmsteen, from 10:25 p.m. to 12:25 a.m.; and the end of the party by The Darkness, from 00:45 to 2 hours.
