Volleyball is a sport that is played between two teams., who compete to reach the most points. The purpose is to pass the ball over a net and prevent it from touching the ground.
This discipline is one of the most practiced in schools, academies and universities, formally and informally. In Colombia, the private organization that is in charge of managing this sport in its different modalities is the Colombian Volleyball Federation.
One of the rules that we can find is the famous serve, which is a movement that depends on different techniques and types. It is important within the modality, as it is an attack action that makes it difficult for the opposing team to respond.

Types and techniques of serve
Floating serve
According to the site ‘Volleyball Ball’, a float serve is the unpredictable way the ball moves. That is, its movement can unexpectedly change to the right, left, or suddenly fall.
One of the techniques is to make front contact with your body and hit the center of the ball from behind with your hand. By doing so directly, it influences that the ball does not turn and overflow the play.

It is common to pull up, especially when performing an attack technique. For this, the ball must be thrown with the legs open and when it is at the height of the head, the palm of the hand hits.
tense serve
It is also known as ‘topspin’, a serve that causes the ball to spin rapidly forward, making it difficult for opponents to receive it.
This technique is done by throwing the ball, which must be higher than normal and is hit from below, with a touch of the wrists for greater rigidity, according to the site cited above.
jump serve
The goal is to increase power, height, and force of impact. to make it difficult for the opponent to receive. This technique is used to make a more forceful attack.
There are two ways to achieve this movement. One is a previous race, in this the player must go back more to have space and speed up the pass. In static mode, you start with enough distance to avoid stepping on the line and not committing a foul, as explained by the sports website ‘Competize’.
