After an analysis by the Complaints Commission of the Local Electoral Public Body (OPLE) of Veracruzit was determined that the complaint of political violence based on gender interposed against the candidate Miguel Ángel Yunes Márquez is unfair.
The complaint was presented on April 8 by the general director of Training and Training in Civil Protection, Ana Elena Taboada Murrieta, and Laura Guadalupe Hernández Parra, for alleged acts of political violence based on gender and advance campaign events by Yunes Márquez.
According to the office of both women, who posed as activists, they denounced that the candidate for the Senate of the Republic for the PAN exercised these two types of violence. against Norma Rocío Nahle Garcíacandidate of the We Continue Making History in Veracruz coalition for the state governorship.
The complainants considered that the crime of political violence was classified, since Yunes Márquez He allegedly spread hatred, contempt and discrimination for the birthplace of Nahle, who decided to participate in the public and political life of Veracruz.
The complainants recalled in the document presented to the OPLE Complaints Commission that the candidate expressed “we are not going to allow a woman from Zacatecas to be governor of the state” in some of their rallies and social networks.
For this reason, they asked for a precautionary measure to be imposed to order the flag bearer to refrain from spreading messages of hate and discrimination and to delete the publications from his Facebook account “and all those deemed necessary.”
