Rostec has developed the world’s first ground-based FPV kamikaze drone “Depesha”
Russia has created the world’s first ground-based FPV kamikaze robot “Depesha”. It can hit enemy personnel, as well as his combat vehicles, told at the press center of the Rostec state corporation.
It is alleged that the latest developments of the High-Precision Complexes holding, which is part of Rostec, are the robotic complexes “Depesha” (made at JSC KBP) and “Buggy” (VNII Signal). “Currently, ground robots are undergoing comprehensive testing, including in the area of a special military operation,” the statement said.
The “dispatch” is assembled on a special platform and is controlled by the operator using a joystick and an FPV helmet. The “buggy” is a wheeled platform that is controlled using a joystick and tablet, the company says. The uniqueness is that the robots can be used “like ground-based kamikaze drones to destroy enemy targets by detonating a charge.”
In different versions, robots can be used to destroy enemy personnel, pillboxes or bunkers, as well as Ukrainian fortified firing points. In addition, they help in overcoming defensive barriers and carry out mining tasks.
It is also important that robots become “reliable assistants” for fighters on the front line. “Dispatches” and “Buggies” are ready to deliver provisions, ammunition, fuel to the front line and even transport wounded soldiers.
