This section of the avenue will incorporate more than 2,300 square meters of green areas and spaces for neighbors, which will be similar to those already undertaken in the first phase. In total, they will be 145 treesmore than 1,400 bush and floral plants and 92 benches, as explained by the mayor of Zaragoza, Natalia Chueca, during the visit to the works during which she was accompanied by the Minister of Urban Planning, Víctor Serrano.

Specifically, this area will be located next to Paseo de Calanda, next to the senior residence, and will have elements to work on mobility.
In addition, on the same sidewalk there will also be a small children’s play arearight in front of the Delicias civic center, which will adapt to the dimensions of the green band.
The third and final phase of the reform will focus on the Rioja Street roundabout. Here some large pipelines will be connected, the layout of the bike lane will be modified and the sidewalk of the Inocencio Jiménez specialty center will be widened to improve accessibility and safety.
The reform of the street will also allow us to delve into the road safety. Along these lines, the work will focus on raising the intersections with the cross streets, so that the sidewalks have continuity in order to give priority to pedestrians and force vehicles to brake.
