The Castro Urdiales City Council has awarded the works to refurbish the perimeter closure of the Pilgrims’ Hostel, which They will begin in the coming weeks and are expected to be completed before the next high pilgrim season.
The project has been awarded to the company Construcciones AP Irastorza SL with a budget of 28,000 euros, which will be financed thanks to a subsidy, as reported by the City Council in a press release.
The Councilor for Tourism, Dely Vélez, explained that this action seeks to improve the facilities for pilgrims who travel the Camino de Santiago and the Lebaniega Route, and is part of the objective of the City Council of “promote sustainable tourism and the heritage of the area.”
