At an evening of professional mixed martial arts, there was a notorious case that caused outrage when the fighter Ali Heibati tried to kick the model who was displaying the poster for the next round in the ring.
“The Russian MMA league HFC decided to ban the fighter for life after his violent attacks. Therefore, he will not be able to compete again in the Russian league. A sanction that could be seen coming, since he was already in the organization's sights for inciting violence due to his way of fighting in the fights prior to the fight,” La Vanguardia reported.
And he added: “Dozens of sports fans have condemned Heibati's behavior on social networks, calling his attitude towards the girl in the ring, who has subsequently been identified as “María” as “shameful” and “deplorable”; and because of her lack of sportsmanship with respect to his opponents before and after the fight.
Of Iranian origin, but residing in Russia, Heibati thought it was normal and humorous and he did it, but with such bad luck that not only did he lose the fight, but he will never fight again in his career.

“I was in shock, I didn't expect it. She was hysterical, sobbing…a nightmare! I did my job: soft, pretty and positive, I went out and took out a sign. It was offensive that as I was starting to leave the ring, I turned my back to Ali, and he walked up and kicked me. Then Heibati started swearing, but I don't remember what he was saying exactly. I was shocked by what had happened, I turned around and went towards him. I don't know what he wanted to do, but I thought he wanted to hit him back with the sign. Then the referee separated us so that nothing else would happen. Otherwise, he would have hit her back with the banner. I was afraid to do it because he might have hit me back. Maybe things could have ended much worse.” he told him.
“If I had gotten closer, it would have been much worse. There are no bruises. It hurt a little and then it went away,” he added.
He also referred to the apologies that the athlete gave. “In front of the cameras he apologized, yes, there is a video, but I did not accept it. This is the first time I have encountered such behavior. I'm still in shock. He hits a girl who comes out to the ring and does her job. By the way, after Heibati recorded that video, she wanted to hug me, but I ran out of the room. Are you going to hug me after that?! No thanks I'm fine”.
