Kirby: US not involved in decision not to invite Russia to Normandy celebrations
The United States is not involved in the decision not to invite Russia to the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landing, said John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council. His words lead TASS.
“As far as I know, this was a decision made by the French government. And let it speak about him. We respect this decision,” Kirby said. He also disowned the request to evaluate the corresponding decision of Paris.
