The Wrap: At its best, it's a powerful showcase of how good Lincoln and Gurira are in these roles. But don't expect a radical reinvention of the franchise.
Digital Spy: The Ones Who Live does not live up to expectations. It's not bad per se, and there are moments of greatness, but given how long Walking Dead fans have waited for Rick to return, it's not the big return we were hoping for.
Marvelous Geeks Media: The series excels through the performances, bringing deep emotions to center stage, which will be what long-time fans will love.
Geeky Mamas: Those who have been waiting forever for Rick's return will be delighted! It feels like top-notch The Walking Dead while also bringing something fresh and unique to the table.
