This year, 40 exhibitors are participating in the fair, bringing for the first time to La Unión “exceptional examples of crystallized gold from Morocco and a beautiful mineral from the Congo, from the silicate family, dioptase,” indicated the technical director of the event, Eliecer. Perez. From the Sierra Minera, “magnificent iridescent goethites, cerussites, anglesites and quartz” are also exhibited as a novelty. In addition to the mineral exhibition, the fair is completed with several activities, such as raffles and the awarding of prizes for the IX Landscape and Mineral Photography Contest of the Sierra Minera.
