The Provincial Prosecutor of Valencia has opened proceedings against Daniel EsteveLeader of Desokupa, for a possible crime of hate against immigrants after A complaint from the Action Against Association (ACO).
The Association presented a letter against the owner of the company specialized in house evictions for several messages in X in which, according to them, «He launched public threats against migrants and associated immigration with crime, based on bulos and even manufacturing false information.
The Prosecutor’s Office understands that the facts reported “may be constitutive of a crime against fundamental rights and public liberties,” specifically for a crime of incitement to hatred collected in the Article 510 of the Criminal Code. Esteve would face a prison sentence between one and four years.
From ACO, they emphasize that only with the opening of proceedings is made of relevance that “the messages that are massively disseminated in social networks associating migration with crime have the sole objective of inciting hostility and violence against migrants and the most vulnerable groups.”

Some of Esteve’s messages indicated by the Prosecutor’s Office recorded them on video, and are the ones that can cost him the conviction if he finally continues.
