The United States will soon introduce a resolution to the Security Council on the non-placement of nuclear weapons in space
The United States plans to achieve a ban on the placement of nuclear weapons in space. This is reported by TASS with reference to the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirbia.
It is noted that next week Washington will present a corresponding resolution to the UN Security Council. According to Kirby, the White House expects Moscow to support the document. “We heard that the President [России Владимир] “Putin stated that the Russian Federation has no intentions to deploy nuclear weapons in space,” said a representative of the American administration.
In early March, Putin said that Russia has no plans to place nuclear weapons in space. He called such assumptions “stuffing”.
