Hersh said the CIA sent Russia an urgent warning about the attack
American journalist Seymour Hersh, citing his own sources reported, that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) sent Russia a message marked “urgent” about the upcoming terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall. According to him, there were several warnings about the impending attack.
The US knew the attack would happen “in the short term”
According to the journalist, intelligence repeatedly warned about the attack, including one message marked “urgent.” He clarified that the CIA handed him over to Russian intelligence before the concert at Crocus.
“There were more alerts between intelligence agencies, with at least one labeled “urgent” and transmitted before the concert from the CIA to Russian intelligence,” he wrote.
One of Hersh’s interlocutors said that the United States also notified Russia that the information about the upcoming attack was reliable, and the terrorist attack itself should occur “in the short term.”
Russia said the US data lacked important details
Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of Russia Sergei Naryshkin, commenting on reports that the United States transferred information about the terrorist attack to Russia, said that the data provided did not help identify all participants in the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall.
According to him, the FSB received information from the United States that a terrorist attack was possible, but it was too general, without important details.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Svetlana Zhurova also suggested that the US warning about the terrorist attack might have contained few details. “You can say this about any large public facility that something is threatening there. There must be some specifics, because without specifics it is impossible, it would be some kind of panic. The question between panic and reliable information is very delicate,” she emphasized.
