The US Department of Defense has entered into a contract with Lockheed Martin for the production of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). This is reported by RIA News.
The transaction amount was approximately $1.9 billion. As the American department clarified, the contract runs until May 31, 2028. It is noted that financing and the work site will be determined in accordance with the details of each specific order.
In May, the United States awarded Lockheed Martin a more than $332 million contract to produce GMLRS (Guided Multiple Launcher Rocket System) missiles. In addition, in the same month, the Pentagon entered into a contract with Lockheed Martin for $861.3 million to produce the HIMARS MLRS.
