The UAE wins a prestigious award from the World Summit on the Information Society

For the second year in a row, the UAE won a prestigious award at the annual World Summit on the Information Society Forum Awards 2024 (WSIS 24), organized by the International Telecommunication Union, for the “Cyber ​​Pulse for Youth” initiative, amid the participation of projects and initiatives submitted by more than 193 countries.
The results were announced during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva.
The UAE topped the world by obtaining the highest number of awards from the World Summit on the Information Society in Geneva, which reached 6 prestigious international awards, which reflects the UAE’s global leadership position in utilizing advanced technology to achieve sustainable development goals and improve the quality of digital life.
The Cyber ​​Security Council won the award for the “Cyber ​​Pulse for Youth” initiative that it launched, outperforming a number of projects submitted from around the world. The victory came in recognition of the exceptional efficiency in applying the best international practices and standards in the field of cybersecurity.
Winning the award is the culmination of the UAE’s firm commitment to building a safe and reliable digital society in light of continued efforts to develop and enhance the country’s capabilities in the field of cybersecurity.
The “Cyber ​​Pulse for Youth” initiative aims to raise young people’s awareness of the importance of cybersecurity and enhance their skills in this field through a series of programs and events that provide young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves from cyber threats, such as phishing, ransomware, and cyber attacks.
