Among the most prominent efforts of the state is its establishment in 2003 of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, which is concerned with developing strategies in support of mothers and children, and organizing programs, training and workshops to ensure optimal care for mothers and children.
Since the establishment of the Council, the state has been keen to strengthen cooperation and participation with regional and international organizations, including the World Family Organization, the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF”, the Arab Women’s Organization, and the Arab Family Organization to develop a common vision and advanced strategies to support women and children and protect their rights in accordance with the highest international standards.
Among the most prominent strategies developed by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood is the “National Strategy for Mother and Child”, which it works to develop every five years, and guarantees the rights of the mother, child and adolescent, and has worked to provide support and health care for mothers and an appropriate environment for them in public places, and to provide mother and child-friendly work sites. Improving the levels of health care and safety for them, and supporting mothers by all means to raise the child to the fullest, making them an educated generation aware of its present and future.
The UAE mother state has given more attention, care and support in various fields, and has provided her with job and care opportunities for her children, which will help her in forming a model family capable of taking on future responsibilities and achieving achievements.
