And because the UAE was inspired by the lessons of living in the desert; Where sustainable practices and resource conservation are a reality and not just slogans, it was obvious that the UAE today is the leader in clean renewable energy; This is based on its environmental awareness, and harnessing advanced technologies in order to obtain clean, sustainable energy, such as solar and nuclear energy.
Bilateral meetings
During the fourteenth meeting of the UAE-French Strategic Dialogue Committee in Abu Dhabi last June, the Emirati and French sides agreed to strengthen the existing bilateral relations in the field of climate change, within the framework of supporting the approach of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and the two parties also agreed to organize the UAE-French energy efficiency. Which will start on the seventh and eighth of next November, and the UAE will host the initiative of sovereign wealth funds “One Planet”.
During the meeting, the two parties affirmed their renewed commitment to the role of nuclear energy as a means to reduce carbon emissions, and through cooperation in the areas of training, research and development, and the strengthening of partnerships between the nuclear sector institutions in France and the UAE.

Support for developing countries
Since the Paris Agreement, the UAE and France have been directing efforts towards supporting developing countries to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, in addition to increasing support for the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the International Solar Energy Alliance.
Joint cooperation in the field of clean and renewable energy began since 2013 between Masdar and the French Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation between them in this field, joint development of new technologies in the field of clean and renewable energy that are economically and commercially viable, and exchanging experiences in the field of policies. Public and laws, as well as human capital development, joint research on renewable energy projects and sustainability technologies, while promoting collaboration on the World Atlas of Renewable Energy.
Food security
Realizing the UAE and the French Republic of the importance of enhancing food security, ensuring the sustainability and resilience of global food supply chains, and promoting the use of modern agricultural technologies and innovative solutions, the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in developing sustainable and resilient food systems in both The two countries agreed to facilitate bilateral trade in agricultural and food products by enhancing the flow of supply chains and encouraging importers and distributors in both countries to explore partnership opportunities.
