The tablao of the Teatro Real resonates with a new edition of Flamenco Real

Royal Flamenco is back with its seventh edition. The festival returns to Madrid’s Teatro Real focused, once again, on the most outstanding dancers of the moment who will offer in a memorable show their different and enriching ways of interpreting the tradition of flamenco dance, with its different languages. They will do so accompanied by prestigious musicians and singers in an environment as spectacular as the Teatro Real Ballroom. After an inauguration by Eduardo Guerrero, the Teatro Real, in co-production with SO-LA-NA, will offer the show on November 27 Patricia Donn in concertfor the first time on the tablao of this Madrid temple. The Barcelona dancer will offer an unforgettable journey through the various flamenco styles, which will range from the ancestral depths and most flamenco roots to contemporary freshness.

Donn will stop at the mighty Pile driverevoking the songs in the forges of Seville, Jerez and Cádiz, to the rhythm of the hammers on the anvil and will travel along the Havana boardwalk to the rhythm of the Tangos. He will not leave Cuba to, with his iconic shawl, perform Guajiraswith a touch of sugar cane and rum, to return to Andalusia again and display all the intensity of La Solea and Buleríain an authentic exhibition of passion and virtuosity. In addition, Donn will incorporate innovations such as The ringing of the hummingbirdwhere tradition is masterfully fused with innovation, to culminate with the festive Rumbawhich serves as a beautiful bridge between America and Spain. All of this, accompanied by the dance of Dani Caballero, Israel Cerreduela on guitar, Iván Losada on percussion, Barnabás Hangonyi (Batio) on cello, along with the voice of Saúl Quirós to celebrate the richness of flamenco, where the voice, the guitar and dance intertwine to excite and captivate the audience in every measure. An audience that will be able to enjoy this show only on November 27, 28 and 29 at 8:00 p.m., in the Ballroom of the Teatro Real.

Balance between veteran and young artists

Although as expected, Patricia Donn’s show is not the only one in this edition of Royal Flamenco which will continue with El Yiyo on December 11, 12, 13 and 14, which closes the year with At my leisurean immersive experience that reflects the multiple facets of the flamenco dancer through an emotional journey through his experiences and environments. Already in 2025, Ricardo Fernández del Moral, on guitar and singing, along with the dancing of Belén López will arrive at the Teatro Real tablao on January 29, 30 and 31 with the poetry of Federico García Lorca and the epic adventures of Don Quijote of La Mancha. On February 19, 20 and 21 it is Paula Rodríguez’s turn with The beating of the shawl on a shocking sensory journey while dancer Amador Rojas presents Your Flamenco on March 26, 27 and 28. With spring already advanced, on April 23, 24 and 25, Lucía Campillo arrives with Stellamasterfully fusing Spanish dance and flamenco, and on May 20, 21 and 22, the exception to this cycle arrives, led by singer Manuel Moreno Maya, The Pelea flamenco master with more than five decades of experience, whose deep and heartbreaking voice will evoke the most authentic roots of this art with his show Pure and Wild. To close, on June 18, 19 and 20, Paula Comitre embodies the essence of flamenco through the body as a means of expression with Named body.


Thus, in June 2025 it will conclude one more year Royal Flamencoa cycle that is part of the policy of promoting and defending flamenco undertaken by the Teatro Real.
