Although every day we get closer and closer to the revelation of the Switch 2there are still many rumors about Nintendo’s next console. Now, A recent report claims that the screen of this hardware would work in a similar way to that seen on the Wii Usomething that has intrigued many fans.
Recently, GamesIndustry.biz director Chris Dring appeared on the VGC podcast, where he not only reaffirmed that we would have official information about the Switch 2 at some point in September, but the console would have a double screenwhether it’s two screens on the handheld, similar to the DS, or the handheld and TV working in sync to provide that kind of experience.
Along with this, Dring has pointed out that this is only one option, and Not all games available for the console will make use of this technology.. However, many titles are expected to only display a menu or map on the dual screen, similar to the work many companies did during the Wii U era. As such, there are still plenty of questions, especially about how this will work with the Switch 2 in the dock.
Let’s remember that other rumors have indicated that the Switch 2 will be a hybrid, and will not offer a traditional console with a tablet, like the Wii U. Along with this, Previous information has indicated that the hardware will come with an 8-inch LCD screen. We can only wait to see what Nintendo’s next foray will bring. In related news, production of the Switch 2 is reportedly about to begin. Likewise, they assure that the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible.
Author’s Note:
Of all the rumors, this is the least likely. How could the Switch 2 work in a similar way to the Wii U? The only thing I can think of is that the Dock receives some kind of information, which sounds impossible.
