They both had a difficult past, but when Sadira and Apache met, a real love at first sight was triggered.
You know the lightning strikes? Well, this doesn’t always happen only to humans, but there are cases in which even animals are “victims”. As in the case of Sadira and Apache, two wolves who met in a sanctuary in the United States of America and have been truly inseparable ever since. Their video went viral in just a few days.
What struck the hearts of thousands and thousands of web users most of all was not so much the video itself, but the story of the two wolves and the terrible adventures who lived before they met.
Sadira, for example, previously lived on a kind of farm where total anarchy reigned. She happened to be, during her stay in that place exploited for breeding of purebred puppies.
Apache, on the other hand, lived for many years locked up in a small and uncomfortable cage of concrete in the courtyard of his former family.
Fortunately, after some time, their suffering ended. Sadira was taken away from that hellish place. While Apache was delivered directly from its former owners, perhaps aware that they were only harming him.
Destiny wanted both of them to finish at Lockwood Animal Rescue Center, a sanctuary that cares for wolves, wolfdogs, foxes, coyotes and other distressed wildlife. The great thing about this shelter is that a lot of Army veterans work there.
The love at first sight of Sadira and Apache
The first weeks of stay were used by Sadira and Apache to recover from past traumas and get back in shape. In a few days the she-wolf has become self-confident and very lively, constantly wandering around the sanctuary.
Apache still needed some time, but that all changed when he saw Sadira pass in front of his enclosure.
Between them literally a love at first sight. A real love at first sight.
However, there was still a high gate separating the two animals. But one day, the wolf jumped over three meters to jump over the fence and finally join with her new best friend.
